1. 30-DAY RETURN WINDOW

You have 30 calendar days from the date you receive your item to request a return.

2. ORDER CANCELLATION

You may request to cancel your order within 2 hours of placement if the order is placed during our service hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM CET).

If your order is placed outside of service hours, you may cancel by emailing us by 10:00 AM CET the next business day, as long as the order has not yet been processed.

If your order has already been processed or shipped, cancellation is no longer possible; however, you may still return the item within 30 days for a full refund using our standard return process.

3. STATUTORY RIGHTS (EU CONSUMERS)

Nothing in our return policy affects your rights under applicable EU and German consumer protection laws, including your right of withdrawal under the Distance Selling Directive.

4. RETURN ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for a return:

Items must be unused, unassembled, and in like-new condition

Original packaging must be intact and undamaged

All parts, accessories, and assembly tools must be included

Items must be free from stains, scratches, pet hair, or odors (we check every return)

5. FURNITURE ASSEMBLY EXCEPTION

For furniture items that have been assembled, we cannot accept returns unless the item is defective. Please inspect all parts before assembly. If you discover a defect during assembly, stop immediately and contact us.

6. RETURN SHIPPING RESPONSIBILITY

Quality issues (defective, damaged, wrong item): Java Vision provides a prepaid return label at no cost to you.

Buyer's remorse (changed mind, didn't like the style, etc.): You are responsible for the actual return shipping cost, which will be deducted from your refund. The amount deducted will be the exact carrier cost we incur for the return. Before you ship, we will provide you with the estimated shipping cost based on your location and package dimensions. You may also choose to arrange and pay for shipping yourself using a carrier of your choice.

7. HOW TO GET YOUR RETURN LABEL

Once your return request is approved, a prepaid return label (if applicable) will be sent to your email address. You can download and print the label directly. Please affix the label to the original package, and drop it off at any carrier-authorized location.

8. RESTOCKING FEE

Restocking Fee: €0.00 (No restocking fees).

9. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

The following items are not eligible for return:

Items explicitly marked and labeled as "Final Sale - Non-Returnable" on the product page

Gift cards

Custom-made or personalized furniture orders

Standard sale, promotional, or discounted items are fully eligible for our 30-day return policy.

10. DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEMS

If your item arrives with a manufacturing defect or shipping damage, it is fully covered under our 30-day return window. We kindly encourage you to inspect your item upon delivery and notify us at your earliest convenience. We respond to all defect reports within 1-2 business days.

For furniture items, please take photos of the damage or defect and include them in your email to help us resolve the issue quickly.

11. INCORRECT ITEM SHIPPED

If you receive the wrong item, contact us immediately. We will cover return shipping and send the correct item at no charge.

12. REFUND PROCESSING TIME

Once your return is delivered to our facility and inspected, we will process your refund within 2 business days. The refund will be issued to your original payment method.

Please note: Your financial institution may take an additional 5-10 business days to post the credit to your account. If you have not received the refund after 15 business days from the date we confirmed processing, please contact your bank first, then reach out to us.

13. HOW TO START A RETURN

Email info@vakant-design.com with your order number, reason for return, and photos of the item (if applicable). Do not ship before receiving return authorization.
